Responsibilities

• Vacuums, dusts, and mops hard-floor surfaces. Dusts or polishes all furnishings as needed.

Cleans windows and front glass doors.

• Vacuums carpeted areas thoroughly to include all hallways and occupied offices to include corners, edges, and beneath furniture, if
accessible.

• Cleans ice machine surfaces with stainless steel cleaner.

• Cleans entry metal to remove all fingerprints.

• Dusts all horizontal surfaces including desktops, files, counter tops, tabletops, chairs, and picture frames.

• Dusts all telephones. Damp wipes with disinfectant weekly.

• Cleans or vacuums all ceiling vents a minimum of once per month.

• Cleans windowsills and lamps.

• Cleans and keeps kitchen/break areas orderly to include disinfecting of table top and counter surfaces, wiping and cleaning
chair seats as needed. Cleans all cabinet doors and fronts for spillage and stains. Cleans refrigerator and microwave/toaster fronts and
dusts tops of all appliances. Scours and disinfects all kitchen sinks. Polishes all bright work.

• Collects and disposes of all trash in the designated location.

• Cleans all trashcans inside and out to remove any spillage.

• Dusts all baseboards thoroughly.

• Dusts all partition tops in the Executive and Operations areas.

• Dusts all blinds in the Executive and Operations areas.

• Cleans and disinfects all restrooms toilets, urinals, and locker rooms for proper sanitation. Toilet seats are to be cleaned and
disinfected on both sides. Cleans and polishes all toilet and urinal bright work.

• Stocks paper towels, tissue, and hand soap.

• Empties all personal hygiene receptacles and damp wipes with disinfectant.

• Cleans and polishes all restroom mirrors and walls around sink basins being sure to remove all splash marks.

• Scours and disinfects all sink basins. Cleans and polishes all bright work.

• Cleans all restroom corners and edges for buildup and debris.

• Wet mops and rinses restroom floors with disinfectant.

• Uses wet floor signs for areas being mopped. All floor signs should be returned to storage the same day when floors are dry.

• Dusts partitions, tops of mirrors, and frames in restrooms.

• Sweeps all patios and cleans glass tabletops as needed.

• Empties all exterior trashcans at entrances and on patios.

• Cleans all ashtrays of cigarette butts and ashes. Replaces sand as needed.

• Cleans and polishes drinking fountains.

• Floors in all lab areas should be free of dust and dirt.

• Removes all spider webs from ceilings, door facings, and hinges.

• Dusts all doorframes.

• Dusts door hinges to remove built up debris.

• Removes fingerprints and marks from light switches and doorframes.

• Sweeps exterior door facings to remove spider webs.

• Provides additional support for all company-wide special events.

• Maintains janitorial closets, equipment, and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly condition at all times.

 

Required Qualifications

•    US Citizenship is required.

•    Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

•    Must have demonstrated knowledge of different cleaning materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience working in janitorial services.  Knowledge of cleaning supplies and proper handling.
