Responsibilities

This position requires a highly motivated, self directed individual with the ability to deliver at a high level and develop and maintain collaborative relationships inside and outside of the Financial Planning Office. The incumbent must possess the ability to prioritize effectively, proactively solve problems, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high levels of accuracy. This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent decision making skills, the ability to achieve goals within or ahead of established time frames, as well as good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The successful candidate must possess excellent attention to detail, analytical and documentation skills, as well as be proficient in technology skills, including Microsoft Suite or Office Applications. The Associate Director must maintain a positive manner, be well organized and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high performance environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable making presentations in front of groups, traveling to work-study partnership locations near Mercer campuses, and have the ability to communicate effectively with students regarding financial wellness. This position must possess the ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, and collaborative environment.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of financial aid or closely related experience, which could include working in accounting/finance or computer technology/software. Prior customer service experience is also required. 

Candidates must have a valid driver's license as this position requires travel.
