The purpose of this position is to determine eligibility and administer federal, state, and institutional financial aid to eligible students within the regulations and guidelines of each program; and with a proficiency and accuracy that meets department needs. This position will also counsel and advise prospective students, and returning students, in regards to the financial aid process, documents required, and unique student and family situations that may impact financial aid eligibility. This position will be responsible for processing requirements for a designated FA program. This position will be responsible for managing all additional administrative functions required for the processing of financial aid and determining continued eligibility. This position will serve other duties as assigned to include administrative functions and financial aid presentations.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of related experience to include accounting/finance, computer technology/software, and customer service are required.  Candidates must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to prepare communications, reports, and presentations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with students, parents and internal customers
  • Multi-tasked and detail oriented to perform varied duties under strict time constraints
  • Able to work well under pressure, in a team environment and with a diverse population to provide excellent service
  • Ability to prioritize work flow and work with many interruptions
