This position will monitor the academic progress of student-athletes in compliance with NCAA, Conference, and Mercer University rules. Duties will include advising student-athletes, monitoring continuing eligibility, including managing Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR). This position also assists with on-campus recruiting, and will work with coaches, student-athletes, and administration.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and prior experience advising student-athletes in NCAA Division I, which should include experience determining the eligibility of student-athletes and experience working with APR and GSR, are required.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel.

  • Knowledge of NCAA Division I eligibility requirements
  • Ability to intervene, advise and implement solutions to assist in the academic achievement of student athletes
  • Must have the ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals
  • Knowledge of APR and GSR data collection
