The Academic Advisor is responsible for providing academic advising and support services to 450+ program participants. This position works under direct supervision.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and prior tutoring and/or advising of students to include monitoring of participant academic progress are required. The successful candidate must have: effective communication skills, particularly with diverse populations; the ability to build good rapport with a variety of constituents; the ability to learn easily and disseminate detailed information; excellent computer skills; the ability to work independently or collaboratively with others in a team; and be detail oriented. Must have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs overhead with or without reasonable accommodation.  Must have the availability and willingness to work on some weekends, mornings, and evenings.
