Responsibilities |
The Director of University Assessment promotes a culture of assessment and continuous improvement by building collaborative relationships across the university. The Director supports and provides training and guidance to faculty and staff on program-level and unit-level assessment efforts as well as university-level initiatives, such as the Quality Enhancement Plan. The Director also maintains and monitors the institution's assessment system by overseeing the operations of the system and maintaining and enhancing its effectiveness on an on-going basis. The Director works with the Vice Provost for Institutional Effectiveness to produce and maintain electronic documentation of assessment, including the OIE website and accreditation compliance documents and exhibits. The Director also administers student surveys managed by the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

Required Qualifications |
A master's degree from an accredited college/university is required along with prior experience with educational outcomes assessment in higher education. Candidates with a PhD are highly desirable. Candidates should have knowledge of assessment and evaluation theories and practices; knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies; skill with quantitative and qualitative data analysis; excellent interpersonal skills to work with diverse members of the university community; and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Candidates should have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel.
