Responsibilities |
The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the assignment of tasks, and direct supervision of the VA Veteran Registrar’s Specialist. Coordinate the degree certification function that includes processing of graduation applications, maintain a degree candidate database, checking general education requirements, completing degree audits and working closely with the department chairs and associate deans in the recommendation process for Macon degrees. Order and distribute diplomas. Supervises, and evaluates staff responsible for Veteran Administration services for the Macon Campus and RAC and staff for degree audits. Much of the work of this position is done independently or with very limited supervision.

Required Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and two years of prior experience working with computer applications are required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Candidates must have experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities |
- Ability to manage a diverse office staff.
- Be comfortable working with the intricacies of a computer-based information system.
- Ability to use word processing tools to produce letters, memos, and reports.
