Responsibilities |
Under the direction of the Dean of the Mercer University School of Medicine (MUSM), the Director of Pipelines, Programs & Events leads the school’s healthcare pipeline efforts on an ongoing basis. The incumbent also develops and leads special events assigned by the Dean and works collaboratively with relevant external stakeholders, Mercer University, and MUSM departments to appropriately plan, implement and evaluate projects including supervision of the Director of Special Programs. They will then provide regular updates and reports to the MUSM Dean.

Required Qualifications |
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and five years of project management/project coordination experience, which must include event planning and implementation are required OR a Master's degree from an accredited college/university and two years of the above described experience are required.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities |
- Must uphold the highest level of professionalism, be able to communicate (verbal and written) with many
organizations both internal and external to the university. Effective communication with students, faculty, staff, community members, and external organizations is essential to success. Anticipate travel into rural communities to collaborate on camps and projects.
- Knowledge of medical education process and curriculum, including accreditation requirements.
- Highly organized with the ability to work with multiple teams and to manage multiple, parallel projects with tight deadlines. Includes developing project budgets and tracking expenses, vendor sourcing, and general management and communications.
- Excellent analytical and independent problem-solving skills, organizational, coordination, and prioritization skills
- Ability to produce detail-oriented and accurate documents, reports and announcements. Knowledge of the health industry, organizational structure, medical terminology, and information technology.
- Ability to assemble highly confidential/sensitive information and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work effectively with all team members, stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze, design, develop and operationalize recommendations to improve customer service models.
- Ability to define priorities, multitask and work independently.
Excellent skills in Outlook including use of calendaring functions, other Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher). Ability to learn new systems with ease.
- Confidentiality, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are necessary to maintain good working relationships with various outside organization.
