Responsibilities

Coordinate all payments including manual checks made by the University to suppliers of goods and services. Ensure that all proper documentation and approvals have been provided. Input data with attention to discount terms, due dates, and account coding. Fold and stuff all checks including any enclosures. Coordinates the distribution of checks for mailing or pick up. File all documentation by alpha and origin date, maintain integrity of file data, and manage the files for required research as requested. Provide payment history information for inquiries by internal University personnel and external vendors/organizations if approved by supervisor.

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is required along with a minimum of two years of accounts payable and/or general accounting experience. Must have general accounting knowledge with excellent computer skills. Must handle confidential information in a discreet manner. Good communication skills are essential and attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
