As part of Academic Affairs and reporting to the Clerkship Supervisor, this position coordinates all aspects of the clerkship programs on the Savannah Campus. This requires working independently on the Mercer Campus and at the hospital. The position coordinates two of the six clerkships in Savannah in partnership with HCA/Memorial Hospital, assuring consistency of testing and evaluation throughout all MUSM campuses. This position will maintain the assigned clerkship academic records, and assist in maintaining and annually updating the clerkship curriculum manual. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for disseminating information to all preceptors and sites, and assist in the process and posting of Senior Electives. The Clerkship Coordinator will be expected to maintain contact with students across the campus and to cross-train with the other clerkship coordinators on campus.

Required Qualifications

Two years of college coursework and two years of administrative office support experience are required. In lieu of education, equivalent directly related experience will be considered. Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel. Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) with many organizations internal and external to the university.  Must be detail oriented and highly organized to complete projects for successful outcome.

Base: $15.50 an hour up to commensurate with experience
