Responsibilities

The overall purpose and objective of the Assistant Registrar is to assist the Registrar in the registration process for all students (graduate and professional) in the School of Medicine, including setting up, maintaining, and updating each program version in CampusVue each semester (under indirect supervision). This position maintains grade rosters and transcripts for each program and enters grades in CampusVue. Assist the Registrar with commencement, including ordering and distributing diplomas. Process enrollment verification and certification requests from graduates, current students and other organizations in a timely manner. Maintain physical files for all students in the School of Medicine. Process degree audits for graduate programs. Assist the Registrar in preparing and publishing the bulletin.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and two years of prior experience working with computer applications are required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Able to communicate in an effective and professional manner with students, faculty and staff.
  • Ability to use CampusNexus and SIS to maintain student records.
  • Ability to manage work load independently and to perform tasks in a reasonable and timely manner.
  • Ability to process and organize large volume of paperwork relative to students.
  • Have solid understanding of academic processes, as well as courses and terms relevant to the medical school.
  • Ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
