Responsibilities
- Provides authoritative advice and guidance to all levels of management on issues related to security.
- Directs and monitors all security measures related to processing clearance paperwork.
- Must be familiar with Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ), personnel security, facility security, document control, access control, physical security, security education and training.
- Ensures compliance with security policies and industrial security.
- Develops and implements internal policies and procedures governing the security awareness of all employees.
- Develops and implements training, policies and procedures, standards, and methods for identifying and protecting information, personnel, property, facilities, operations, or material from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, vandalism, espionage, sabotage, or loss.
- Interprets agency guidelines and issues instructions on methods and procedures for the application of the guidelines.
- Ensures familiarity with all MERC core capabilities and current and potential customer base.
- During all customer contacts, remains alert for any potential problems or opportunities that could possibly lead to additional business for any MERC core capability area. Reports all perceived or identified MERC business opportunities to the Director of Acquisition Strategy.
- Complies with all MERC policies and procedures, and provides leadership to all assigned personnel to ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
- Requires an undergraduate degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university and 6 years of directly related FSO experience, or a high school diploma and 10 years of directly related FSO experience.
- Current FSO certification is required.
- Must have the ability to interface effectively and professionally with coworkers, management, and government agencies and officials.
- Must have experience with and knowledge of all facets of the NISPOM Rule.
- Must be knowledgeable of the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) information pertaining to national industrial security processes.
- Must have adequate computer skills for management of required documents, databases, and information systems required to assist each Information System Security Manager.
- Ability to handle confidential information is a must.
- The Executive Director may add additional requirements as appropriate.
