The Assistant Volleyball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in conducting the program while following departmental and University policy. Duties include: coaching, recruiting, scouting, purchasing of equipment, monitoring of student-athlete academic progress, fundraising, coordinating team travel, game day event management, and compliance with NCAA, Southern, and Atlantic Sun conference rules and regulations.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and prior coaching experience are required. Candidates with a master's degree and/or prior coaching/playing experience at the Division I level are highly desirable.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.

• Working knowledge of NCAA /Southern Conference rules in relation to women’s indoor and beach volleyball
• NCAA/Southern Conference recruiting exam that allows the coach to recruit off-campus
• Knowledge of sport-specific software used in player and team development
• Ability to carry the equipment necessary for setting up the volleyball court
