As part of Academic Affairs and reporting to the Clerkship Supervisor, this position coordinates all aspects of the two assigned clerkship programs on the Macon Campus. This requires working independently on the Mercer Campus and at the hospital. The position coordinates two of the six clerkships in Macon in partnership with Atrium Health, assuring consistency of testing and evaluation throughout all School of Medicine campuses. This position will maintain the assigned clerkship academic records and assist in maintaining and annually updating the clerkship curriculum manual. Additionally, the incumbent will be responsible for disseminating information to all preceptors and sites and assist in the process and posting of Senior Electives. This Clerkship Coordinator will be expected to maintain contact with students across the campus and to cross-train with the other clerkship coordinators on campus. Additionally, this position will be required to travel to the hospital as well as to additional off-site clinics as an essential part of their job.

Required Qualifications

Two years of college coursework and two years of administrative office support experience are required. In lieu of education, equivalent directly related experience will be considered. Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel. Must be able to communicate (verbal and written) with many organizations internal and external to the university.  Must be detail oriented and highly organized to complete projects for successful outcome.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license as this position requires some off-site travel.

Pay Rate

Base: $15.50 an hour up to commensurate with experience
