This position is the primary customer service point of contact for all Mercer students with concerns about their tuition account which can include billing issues, tuition rates, financial aid, registration and other items of concern. A wide variety of degree and program versions and study abroad programs complicate student billing. Because the student concern we manage is payment, this position is asked a variety of questions and this position becomes a navigator directing students to the proper contact and/or researching the account to provide answers. The position has direct impact on cash flow as they collect tuition accounts and identify issues that could impede collection.

Required Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience, to include detailed account review. Experience in collections or as a bank teller would qualify for this position. Evidence of successful collaboration, compassion and service skills are required. Must be detail oriented and committed to quality of work product. Must exhibit the ability to organize, follow through with work commitments, problem solve and have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as conflict-management skills. Candidates must have proven familiarity with 10-key data entry and demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Base: $12.28 an hour up to commensurate with experience
