Responsibilities

The College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment with primary responsibilities associated with providing simulation and learning lab services to fulfill the needs of the nursing curriculum.  Responsibilities include assisting with the training, implementation and evaluation of technologies required for simulation programs using industry standards and established best practice standards. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, updating and maintenance of laboratory and simulation equipment.  This faculty member will also be responsible for facilitating the use of simulated nursing learning activities for students using integration of evidence-based nursing practice and simulation best practices.  The position includes expectations for classroom and clinical teaching. All specialty areas will be considered.  Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience. Faculty will be expected to contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession and higher education through scholarship and research. This is not a remote or online position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in nursing from CCNE accredited program.
  • Unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Excellent communication skills.

PREFERRED

  • full-time academic in-person teaching (didactic and clinical) experience
  • a doctoral degree in nursing (or related field)
  • knowledge of CCNE accreditation standards

Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.

Pay Rate

Commensurate with experience
