37.5 a week - This position will work 10 months each year from August to May and will be off in June and July.

Responsibilities

The person holding this position provides administrative support to the ROTC program and the Chemistry department including programs in Chemistry; Biochemistry and Molecular Biology; and Chemical Commerce. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ordering and budget monitoring for departments, credit card reconciliation, travel reconciliation, answering the telephone, and making travel arrangements as needed. Ensures the smooth operation of offices, including meeting schedules, ordering office supplies, and liaising with Campus Reservations, Physical Plant, National, IT, Accounting, and other administrative departments as needed. Must have the motivation to work independently, the organizational skills to prioritize workload, and the personal skills to work with a variety of people and programs. Time will be divided between the ROTC in Penfield and Chemistry in the Godsey Science Center as arranged by the supervisors of each program.

Required Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED and two years of administrative support experience are required.  The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and maintain budgets, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Base: $12 an hour up to commensurate with experience
