Responsibilities
Under indirect supervision, the Area Coordinator creates a residential environment that contributes to the development of residents; assists in selecting, training, and supervising of the Resident Assistants; serves as a university hearing officer; and administers programming in the apartments, including budget management. This position also assists in instructing the resident assistant in-services; serves as the primary person on-call for Housing & Residence Life; and assists in the management of the Housing & Residence Life facilities.
Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field from an accredited college/university is required. Candidates with prior Housing & Residence Life and/or Student Services experience are strongly desired. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as a demonstrated commitment to community development within the campus environment.  Position requires the professional to live-in.

Pay Rate

This is a full-time, live-in/on, 12-month position with full university benefits (health, retirement, etc.). Annual salary is $36,000. A two-bedroom apartment with utilities, internet, and basic cable, and a cell phone is provided.
