Responsibilities

- Responsible for leading individual and team efforts pertinent to reliability, sustainability, acquisition, and sustainment programs.

- Applies and develops research techniques and expertise to perform assigned tasks and participates with teams in logistics, spares, and maintenance planning and support of research and development programs, life cycle systems management during acquisition, distribution, sustainment and disposal phases of a system lifecycle.

- Responsible for ensuring tasks are accomplished within cost, schedule and performance requirements of the work effort.

- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.

- May prepare and present formal and informal briefings.

- Complies with all Executive Director approved MERC-wide policies and procedures.

- Adheres to and ensures implementation of approved MERC standard processes (MSP) consisting of quality management policies and principles, and promotes an attitude of commitment to continuous quality improvement. -

- Remains cognizant of customer needs and pursues new business opportunities.

- Ensures thorough familiarity and awareness of all MERC core capabilities and with the MERC current and potential customer base in an effort to promote MERC capabilities and interests to customers and potential customers.

Required Qualifications

- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.

- A High School Diploma and 15 years of directly related experience; or a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 9 years of directly related experience; or a Master's degree in same and 8 years of directly related experience.

- Working knowledge of the supply and maintenance data collection systems used by the Air Force, Depot, and the Government (i.e. G081, IMDS, JRAMS, GCSS, Haystack, ILS, etc.).

- Working knowledge of the Air Force Technical Order Manual systems, Technical Order Distribution Office (TODO), and Technical Order Management Agency.

- Proficiency in Aircraft Structural and/or Maintenance processes and procedures.

- Ability to perform data analysis from maintenance data.

- Technical and specialized knowledge in Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, and/or Maintenance Steering Group 3 (MSG-3).

Preferred Qualifications

- At least 5 years of pulling and reporting Department of Defense supply data i.e. source of supply, demand history, usage, procurement, etc.

- At least 5 years of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

- 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, C-5, C-130, and C-17 experience.

- 2 years of experience with U.S. Air Force and use of special tools/equipment required to perform process improvement recommendations on assigned maintenance tasks.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
