Responsibilities |
The Director of Admissions and Financial Aid is responsible for all financial aid awarding to students in compliance with federal regulations and institutional guidelines, and provides a comprehensive financial literacy program and counseling to students to help minimize their debt as they seek to pay for the cost of their legal education. In this process, the Director is required to gather and analyze data to optimize scholarship distribution to meet student needs and support the law school’s goals for net tuition revenue and the shaping of each entering class. The Director will also be required to recruit applicants, attend recruiting events, review admission applications, analyze application data, and make distinctions among competitive applicants. The Director will work closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing to create and evaluate various marketing initiatives for admissions. The person in this position will need the ability to think strategically and analytically, write well, communicate effectively, and travel on occasion. Finally, the Director must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other senior administrators, faculty, and staff throughout the university.

Required Qualifications |
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required along with three years of prior relevant experience, which can include higher education financial aid awarding and planning, data analytics, student counseling/advising, admissions, etc., OR one year of prior related experience with a JD or MBA. Candidates must have some prior financial aid awarding/planning experience in order to be considered. Candidates with a JD or MBA and/or more significant financial aid or admissions experience are preferred. The successful candidate must have strong data analytic skills, writing and communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and comply with established deadlines. Use of good judgment, sensitivity, and discretion in handling confidential materials and situations is necessary.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.
