Responsibilities |
The Internal Medicine department and Mercer Medicine are searching for a physician specializing in Endocrinology. Rank will be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate.
Clinical Duties:
- Develop and maintain a financially viable Endocrinology medicine practice at Mercer Medicine.
- Clinical Care of patients in department including participating with department call schedule.
- Provide endocrine and diabetes consultations in an outpatient setting, for Mercer Medicine patients and other patients as requested by community and affiliate hospital physicians.
- Perform endocrine procedures for Mercer Medicine patients.
- Actively participate in medical staff committees.
- Oversee Nurse Practitioner as delegating or designated physicians as mandated by department needs.
- Complete all medical record documentation requirements as specified in the medical staff rules and regulations on a concurrent basis.

Qualifications |
Required:
- M.D. degree from an accredited college/university
- Board certified in Endocrine Medicine
- Georgia medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia
- Experience in ambulatory practice setting
Preferred:
- Experience with clinical trials or outcomes research desirable
- Experience in academic medicine environment highly desirable
