Responsibilities |
The goal of research projects led by the principal investigator (PI), Dr. Raghavan Chinnadurai, is to understand the immunobiology of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in the setting of cancer and inflammatory disorders. The incumbent will provide research support to projects led by the PI; apply research skills and immunology knowledge to follow or adapt protocols and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the research; design and implement research protocols with the PI.

Required Qualifications |
The Research Assistant I position requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences or a related field from an accredited college/university and some research experience. The Research Assistant II position requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences or a related field from an accredited college/university and a minimum of one year of related research experience. The Research Assistant III position requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences or a related field and three years of related research experience of which some of that time must be in a lead role or a related master's degree from an accredited college/university and one year of relevant research experience of which some of that time must be in a lead role.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities |
- Ability to learn and perform molecular immunology experiments with human clinical samples (Flow cytometry, ELISA, Real Time PCR, Cell Culture etc.)
- Ability to learn and perform animal experiments including injections, terminal surgery and organ processing etc.
- Ability to analyze experimental data and formulate initial conclusions.
