Reporting to the Director of Accreditation and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, this position coordinates the Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME) accreditation activities (i.e., scheduling and participating in LCME Self-study Committee and LCME Self-study Subcommittee meetings, reviewing LCME accreditation reports for completeness and accuracy, collecting and compiling evidence for the LCME Data Collection Instrument), assuring organization and accuracy of information across all MUSM campuses, participating in continuous quality improvement activities related to LCME and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation, and preparation of accreditation reports. This position also coordinates faculty affairs activities (i.e., collects and records faculty roster data, monitors faculty appointment and reappointment processes, creates faculty appointment correspondence letters, contributes to organization of faculty development offerings, and creates reports for the LCME, AAMC, and SACSCOC). The duties of this position shift based on the needs of the school.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and at least one year of prior progressive administrative support experience, which must include experience working with databases and spreadsheets, are required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience will be considered.  Candidates with a bachelor's degree, prior experience with accreditation and/or prior higher education experience are desirable.  Candidates must have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly: 1) Excel in order to maintain databases and create reports related to administrative activities (LCME, AAMC, AMA); 2) Word in order to prepare various reports, correspondence and documents; 3) and PowerPoint in order to prepare presentations for meetings.

Pay Rate

Base: $13.87 an hour up to commensurate with experience
