Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse and Student Health Clinic Manager will function in a supervisory role and as a registered nurse for the Student Health Clinic. This position will oversee the entire campus health clinic which serves students, faculty, and staff on the Atlanta campus. The candidate should be able to multi-task by providing direct and indirect patient care, handle multiple phone calls, and manage day-to-day operations, including full supervision of the Atlanta Student Health support and clinical staff. This position acts as a liaison between physicians, staff, and upper management and is tasked with ensuring that upper management is kept abreast of pertinent information. This person must be willing to promote teamwork and cohesion among staff members in order to remain efficient and effective.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing (a bachelor’s in nursing is acceptable as well) and a current RN license (or eligibility) for the state of Georgia are required. A current CPR certification that is recognized by the American Heart Association is also required. Candidates must have at least one year of healthcare experience to include triaging patients, preferably in a physician’s office. In addition, at least two years of prior supervisory experience is required as this position will oversee the entire clinical staff. 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Experience using electronic medical record systems, preferably eClinical Works, as well as experience applying basic computer skills
  • Ability to perform Basic Life Support, CPR and to respond to a patient in cardio/pulmonary arrest
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills and knowledge and ability to complete medical charting to include ICD and CPT coding
  • Ability to work as a member of a team as well as autonomously
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility with various job requirements, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and perform new tasks
