Responsibilities

The Department of Pharmacy Practice of Mercer University College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12 month, non-tenure-track faculty position in Pharmacy Practice Health Outcomes and Economics. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the education, service, and research missions of the College of Pharmacy and will be a core member of the clinical and administrative sciences group in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice has 24 faculty members including both research-intensive and clinical. In addition to the Doctor of Pharmacy, the College has the following degree and post-graduate programs:  Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, a newly approved M.S. in Health Outcomes, and a community pharmacy residency program.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates will have a health professional doctorate (e.g., Pharm.D. or M.D.) from an accredited institution OR a Ph.D. from an accredited institution and appropriate training or experience in health outcomes and economics.

Preferred qualifications: Pharmacist with post-graduate residency training, eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in Georgia, additional graduate education if the terminal doctorate is in a health profession (e.g., Pharm.D. or M.D. plus MS or MPH). Didactic and experiential teaching experience is highly desirable.
