Responsibilities

- Project technical leadership, customer interaction and support.

- Electronic/avionic systems analysis, electrical/thermal load analysis.

- Weight and balance reports.

- Avionics systems qualification and flight test support.

- Simulation and modeling of electronic subsystems and circuits

- Digital circuit design, analog circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.

- CPLD/FPGA development, troubleshooting/empirical analysis of electronic circuits.

- Use of AutoCad/SolidWorks for electromechanical modeling and creation of 2D drawings.

- Design of wiring and cable subassemblies for aircraft use.

Required Qualifications

- U.S. Citizenship is required.

-.Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining a DoD security clearance.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or school of engineering and 2 years of applicable experience.

- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or school of engineering and 1 year of applicable experience.

-The candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team or alone, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

- Ability to assume responsibility for technically significant project tasks.

- Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs.

- Perform component engineering on new and existing designs and address obsolescence/DMSMS issues.

- Perform electronic/avionic design using customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.

- Proficiency using lab test equipment such as o-scopes, logic analyzers, signal analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.

- Proficient use of Altium Designer, SolidWorks, Xilinx Tools.

- Use of Analog Spice Simulation Tools.

- Use of time domain modeling and simulation tools for complex electronic designs.

- Experience in on-aircraft technical work including engineering validation of system interconnects, requirements for wiring and cabling, workmanship requirements.

- Digital and analog circuit design experience.

- Four+ years of applicable experience.
