Responsibilities

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences within the College of Pharmacy at Mercer University, located in Atlanta GA, invites applications for a full-time faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.  The incumbent will hold a twelve-month non-tenure track departmental appointment with responsibilities in teaching, service, and research/scholarship. Teaching responsibilities will include topics broadly related to the pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences within both the Pharm.D. and Ph.D. programs. Administrative responsibilities will include service needs at the Department and College levels.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in pharmaceutical or biomedical sciences, or a closely related discipline and a minimum of six months of full-time teaching experience, preferably within a college of pharmacy.  Preference will be given to those with a pharmacy background. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are absolutely essential.  A highly competitive salary and full employee benefits package will be offered.  

The College of Pharmacy is located on Mercer University’s Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional campus in Atlanta, GA, and is one of the four academic units within the Mercer University Health Sciences Center.
