Responsibilities |
Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organizations data, systems and networks. Ensuring that the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls. Must keep themselves updated with the new trends and procedures. Responsible for analyzing new methods of intrusion. Prevents any attacks to access information without proper credentials. Makes note of any breakthrough firewalls and other security applications. Develops and implements information security standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Required Qualifications |
Requires an undergraduate degree in Cyber Security or a related area (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technologies, Data Processing, Electrical Engineering, Software, Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics) from an accredited college or university; or an Associate degree in same and 2 years directly related experience; or no degree and 6 years directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or eight (8) years of equivalent experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years information technology experience working in a classified computer facility in information, intelligence, or security areas.
• Five (5) years’ experience in computer operating systems, hardware, and software to include Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Working knowledge of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-37 Rev 1, that provides guidelines for applying the Risk Management Framework to federal information systems to include conducting the activities of security categorization, security control selection and implementation, security control assessment, information system authorization, and security control monitoring.
