Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for all phases of recruitment and admissions program for graduate and undergraduate programs for the Stetson School of Business and Economics (SSBE) on the Atlanta campus. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervision of admissions counselor and enrollment associate, recruitment travel, inquiry development, business partnership development, application completion and review, student interviewing, professional presentations, and correspondence. Working with a great degree of independence, the incumbent reports regularly to the assistant vice president of enrollment management, but will work cooperatively with the Dean, all Academic Program Directors, as well as staff members engaged in admissions, alumni and development, and career service functions.

Responsibilities also include overseeing the student search campaigns for
non-traditional and graduate SSBE across all locations. The individual filling this position must be dedicated to the mission of Mercer University and to strengthening the University’s relationship with the internal and external University community.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and a minimum of three years of experience, which must include experience with admissions, working adult recruitment and higher education administration. Graduate degree in appropriate discipline is highly desirable. Candidates must possess exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to manage and motivate staff to maximize recruitment potential. The ability to work collaboratively with others to advance the goals of the Office of Enrollment Management and the University as well as manage multiple strategies in a high pressure environment to achieve recruitment goals is essential.

Candidate must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable by the University carrier as this position requires some travel.
