Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Associate Director of Admissions and Recruitment will be responsible for the direct supervision of 5-6 Admissions Counselors and Assistant Directors and their primary recruitment strategies. The Associate Director will assist the Director of Undergraduate Admissions in strategic planning initiatives, admissions reporting, recruitment budgeting, and presentations both on-campus and off-campus. This position will be responsible for any hiring of Admissions Counselors, training new employees, and providing on-going professional development for the Admissions Counselors. He or she will be responsible for recruiting a small Freshman territory and special programs as assigned by the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. He or she will manage the Assistant Director of Transfer and International Admissions and provide guidance for implementation of recruitment strategy for both student populations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and at least three years of related experience, which must include experience with admissions and supervising, are required.  Must have excellent communication skills, including written, phone, and face to face interactions, with the ability to conduct interviews and effective presentations to prospective students and their families.  In addition, must have the ability to analyze data to assist in strategic planning initiatives and reporting. Prior working knowledge of Connect Software is desirable. 

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the University carrier as this position does require some travel.
