The Mercer University School of Medicine Department of Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a salaried, twelve-month, non-tenure-track position at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor on its Macon, GA campus.  The successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in microbiology instruction in the Master of Science Programs and in small group facilitation in the patient-based learning curriculum of the M.D. Program.  In addition to excellence in teaching, School of Medicine faculty are expected to maintain scholarly productivity, to mentor students in research, and to engage in university and community service activities.


Applicants should have a doctoral degree in microbiology or a related discipline from an accredited college/university.  Preference will be given to individuals with postdoctoral training and teaching experience in microbiology.
