Responsibilities

This position is the primary customer service representative for Student Engagement to include our texting platform, Mongoose. Primary customer service representative for high touch accounts – including Pre-ABSN, ABSN, Medicine, and Pharmacy students. Responsible for Alternative Student Lifecycle and collection for this population to include receipting tuition revenue and monitors accounts for delinquency and specialized reporting. This position completes all daily cash and Nelnet integration reconciliations, ensuring that all student payments are allocated to the appropriate term and enrollment. Responsible for notifying the Coordinator and Assistant Bursar of discrepancies in accounts and to review for further action. Primary backup to Bursar Office Coordinator and Student Support Specialists. An understanding of the collection cycle, various billing rates, various degree and program requirements, and office & University policies including, but not limited to, Uncashed Checks and withdrawals, are required. Ability to use discernment on escalation is also necessary.

Required Qualifications Requires high school diploma or GED and minimum of three years of experience with accounts receivable, bookkeeping, data entry and customer service. Evidence of successful collaboration, compassion and service skills is required. Must be detail oriented and committed to quality of work product. Must exhibit the ability to organize, follow through with work commitments, problem solve and have excellent interpersonal and conflict-management skills. Excellent communication skills are
essential in working with students, staff, faculty and other external customers. Necessary experience required in handling large sums of money, computer data entry skills, and basic understanding of accounting
fundamentals.
