Responsibilities

The Director of Graduate Admissions is responsible for all phases of recruitment, admissions, and student success for graduate programs offered by Tift College of Education. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervision of recruitment and enrollment team members, recruitment travel, inquiry development, application completion and review, student interviewing, professional presentations, and correspondence. Working with a great degree of independence, the incumbent reports regularly to the AVP of Enrollment Management, but will work cooperatively with the Dean of the College, all academic Program Directors and Program Coordinators, as well as staff members engaged in marketing and communication, data operations, admissions, alumni and development, and career development functions. The incumbent will supervise the development of education partnership agreements, and articulation agreements to the benefit of all teacher education programs.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and a minimum of three years of prior experience in higher education administration or admissions leadership are required. Candidates with a master’s degree are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will have sound knowledge and experience of recruitment, admissions and financial aid with the ability to implement state of the art marketing and recruitment strategies. In addition, excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to respond creatively to situations.

Candidates must have a valid driver's and be insurable by the University's insurance carrier as this position requires travel.
