Responsibilities |
Provides a combination of administrative services (including management of financial accounts) and event-related services for the Alumni Services department. Serves as the keeper of the alumni engagement records and producer of statistics for the alumni staff. Assists in planning, budgeting for, and conducting special events for alumni and external constituencies. Manages online event registrations and tracks event fees and attendance. Keeps alumni board lists updated in the database and on the website. Maintains the departmental calendar. Works under the direct supervision of the Associate vice President for Alumni Services, and has daily interaction with the wider Advancement staff as well as other departments within the University. Attention to detail, demonstrated professional acumen in dress, word, deed and skill set are integral to our alumni programs.

Required Qualifications |
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college is required along with a minimum of two years of administrative support experience (either as an employee or student worker), which must include experience supporting departmental financial/budgeting processes, event planning, and/or engagement of alumni or other external audiences. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. A graduate of Mercer University is strongly preferred.
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word), as well as web/internet and social media usage. Must have understanding of budgeting and accounting (including payables and receivables). Must be able and willing to travel occasionally.
The successful candidate must have a valid driver license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel.
