Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University is currently recruiting an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) faculty member for a full-time, 12-month faculty position. Primary academic responsibilities including classroom teaching, simulation, and clinical oversight in the AGACNP program. The AGACNP faculty member will work in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner Coordinator and the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. The faculty member may have additional teaching responsibilities in other degree programs. In addition to teaching, faculty have responsibilities associated with research, scholarship, and service. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience.


Required Qualifications:

  • Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
  • Authorization to practice as an AGACNP/ACNP in Georgia
  • Certified AGACNP/ACNP
  • Experience in the AGACNP practice role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or DNP) in nursing from an accredited university/college
  • Experience in higher education including teaching, simulation instruction, accreditation, program review or assessment
  • Record of accomplishments in scholarship and professional service

Pay Rate

Commensurate with experience
