Mercer University's School of Business, accredited by AACSB, is seeking applicants for two tenure-track positions in Accounting on its Macon Georgia campus beginning August 1, 2021.  This position balances teaching, research, and service.  Mercer University offers an undergraduate degree in accounting and various MBA degrees. 

Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in and/or willingness to teach Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, and/or Financial Accounting.  Occasionally, weekend or night courses may be assigned.


Candidates must have a Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB-accredited university.  In lieu of a Ph.D. in Accounting, candidates with a Ph.D. and evidence of higher levels of sustained, substantive academic and/or professional engagement activities to support their currency and relevance in their fields of teaching and their contributions to other mission components which  qualifies them to be AACSB scholarly academic in accounting will also be considered.  A current CPA license and significant relevant work experience outside of academia is desirable. ABD candidates will be considered at the rank of instructor. Rank to be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate.
