Mercer University’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business (SHSB, hereafter), an AACSB accredited school, invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice in Finance on Mercer’s Atlanta, GA campus beginning August 2021. Rank will be determined based on the credentials of the selected candidate. Primary duties are teaching 4 courses per semester. The objective of the teaching role is to provide students with a deeper understanding of the application of finance to business practice and decision-making. The successful candidate will be adept at instructing a broad spectrum of students including undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate will mentor students and support School of Business activities including student case competitions, alumni relations and other extracurricular activities.


Candidates must have a minimum of an PhD in Finance or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution (or similarly accredited international university) and demonstrated capability to engage in online and in-class instruction. Also desirable is successful experience in the professional community.  Specific teaching needs at the graduate and undergraduate level include one or more of the following: corporate finance, securities and portfolio management, international finance and financial institutions.
