The Adjunct Clinical Faculty (ACF) member for the second degree prelicensure accelerated BSN program is a clinical based instructor primarily responsible for the clinical education of nursing students in the agency/clinical area of nursing practice.  The ACF is an extension of the lead course faculty and supports student learning to connect theory principles with clinical judgement. The ACF member reports directly to the Accelerated BSN program coordinator and ultimately to the Associate Dean for the Undergraduate Program.


  • Uphold the mission, vision and core values of the College and University.
  • Facilitate effective student learning in the appropriate clinical setting and via the online learning environment.
  • Provide guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and research.
  • Ensure constructive evaluations of student practice.
  • Provide a supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain excellent communication program coordinator and course team members regarding student progress.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Healthcare Partner employees.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the nursing curriculum, policies, and requirements.
  • Maintains clinical competence and knowledge in area of expertise.


    • Highly competent practitioner of nursing with an earned master’s degree in nursing.
    • Unencumbered Registered Nurse Georgia license.
    • Competent educator who demonstrates the ability to create a climate conducive to positive student learning.
    • Demonstrates proficient competency in the use of computer technology (Word, PowerPoint, E-mail, Internet) at a minimum.
    • Serves as a role model for professional nursing and communicates this expectation to students.
    • Maintains a supportive learning environment for students.
    • Maintains highly effective working relationships with colleagues, staff, students, agency personnel, and others as necessary in providing public service.
    • Commits to personal professional learning.  


    • Practice: Evidence of a minimum of two years of successful professional nursing practice (five years preferred).
    • Teaching Experience: Evidence of a minimum two years of BSN teaching experience (preferred).
