Responsibilities

Serves as the academic support person in determining NCAA Progress Toward Degree eligibility, eligibility of transfers, and provides academic progress reports to coaches and administration. Assists in preparation of NCAA and conference reports. Must be able to intervene, advise, and implement solutions to assist in academic achievement of student-athletes. Monitors study hall, maintains weekly meetings with student-athletes and schedules tutors when needed. Assists in the recruitment process and academic orientation of student-athletes. Works with software appropriate for academic advising and eligibility. Monitors textbook policy for student athletes. Counsels students on scheduling of classes to maintain eligibility and ensure academic success.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience teaching or advising in an academic setting. The successful candidate will have knowledge of NCAA eligibility requirements as well as an understanding of the advising process for collegiate student athletes.  Candidates with a master's degree and/or prior experience in Division I Athletics are desirable.
 
Successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license.
