The Assistant Director of Marketing Content is responsible for writing content for a variety of enrollment-related marketing/communications pieces (such as brochures, emails, webpages, ads, etc.) to be used across multiple channels, and managing existing content for publications and deliverables produced to support student recruitment and retention for traditional undergraduate, post-traditional (adult) undergraduate, and graduate and professional programs. This position will also proofread and edit content produced by other team members to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards and style guides.
The Assistant Director of Marketing Content will provide design support for print and digital marketing deliverables, and will support management of other creative content assets, such as coordinating photo and video shoots and organizing and managing photo, video, and graphic assets. This position will also execute production of in-house print jobs and manage external print/production jobs.
The Assistant Director of Marketing Content will operate a WordPress-based website content management system to maintain and update existing webpages, build new webpages, and write/edit content for search engine optimization. This position will also support central team operational needs, including budget/resource tracking and invoice management, and other duties as assigned.
A bachelor's degree in Communication, Technical Communication, English, Marketing, Business, or a related field from an accredited college/university is required. Two years of experience writing and editing content with a marketing voice for a variety of audiences is also required.
The successful candidate must possess the following:
-Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to identify the needs for shifts in voice, message, etc., to fit a particular audience, medium, and purpose
-Proven record of success and ability to recognize, adopt, and adhere to brand standards, voice, and tone
-Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to set timelines, meet deadlines, and juggle multiple projects with competing priorities
-Understand the admissions recruitment process from multiple internal points of view for multiple target audiences
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress

The person must exhibit enthusiasm for both marketing and higher education and a willingness and proven ability to work under the urgency of deadlines.
