Responsibilities

Primary Bursar Office customer service representative for all campuses electronically, by telephone, or in person at the service counter. Takes and posts tuition payments and other related fees to computerized student accounts system. Logs in and mails stipend checks to students. Processes and reconciles daily BearCard deposits. Assists with collection activities to include written correspondence and telephone calls. Records and maintains minutes of weekly staff meetings. Processes and distributes incoming mail. Assists coworkers as needed and helps with projects given by supervisor and University Bursar

Required Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience, to include detailed account review. Experience in collections or as a bank teller would qualify for this position. Evidence of successful collaboration, compassion and service skills are required. Must be detail oriented and committed to quality of work product. Must exhibit the ability to organize, follow through with work commitments, problem solve and have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as conflict-management skills. Candidates must have proven familiarity with 10-key data entry and demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Base: $12.28 an hour up to commensurate with experience
