The candidate will work to support the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and maintenance of study abroad programs with a particular focus on faculty led programs. Program support includes researching options, reviewing processes, budget development, managing student information database, developing and conducting program assessment, and managing collaboration with the bursar regarding student payments. Candidate will support faculty and students by offering study abroad program development and recruitment training, managing communications, providing personal advising, and organizing and hosting orientations. Candidate will also manage portions of the study abroad website, collaborate on study abroad marketing campaigns, co-organize and host the study abroad fair with other staff members, assist with freshman preview Saturdays, and conduct classroom visits. Candidate will also serve as the Peace Corps Prep Program Coordinator. Other duties may be performed as assigned.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably related to international education, education affairs, program management, or marketing, is required, along with three years of prior experience to include academic advising about study abroad programs specifically or academic advising in a higher education setting, study or working abroad (student study abroad experience will be considered), and organizing programs/event planning. With a master's degree, one year of above described experience will be considered.

The successful candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Professional. The incumbent must have the ability to work with faculty in developing ideas; knowledge of marketing and recruitment strategies for study abroad; understanding of the field of study abroad within international education; research and writing skills, program development and implementation abilities; event planning, budgeting, organizing foreign travel and/or group travel experience; and social networking and cross-cultural communication skills.
