Responsibilities

MERC has an immediate opening for an Electrical Engineer in the Avionics Systems Division.
Duties of the position could include development of complex EW & Radar modeling and simulation applications with real-time software solutions.   Additionally, the position could include the utilization of existing complex radar emulations to establish EW system suitability in a laboratory environment with additional modeling to validate the results.

Required Qualifications

-U.S. Citizenship is required.
-Candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
-This position requires a Ph.D. degree in a technical subject (e.g., EE, ME, IE, AE, or an engineering degree in a related area from an ABET accredited School or College of Engineering) directly related and appropriate to the primary Division and Directorate functional area; or a Masters degree in same and 1 year of related program experience; or an undergraduate degree in same and 2 years related program experience. 
-The candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team or alone, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience with Matlab/Octave in the development of process modeling is a plus.
-Proficiency in the development of applications for both a Windows based and Linux based OS is a plus.
-Proficiency with lab test equipment such as o-scopes, logic analyzers, signal analyzers, etc.
-Proficiency with computers and computer networking
-Active security clearance is a plus.
