Responsibilities

Duties of the position could include establishment of system and subsystem requirements, design, and development of complex EW & Radar modeling and simulation applications with real-time software and firmware solutions.  

Duties of the position include:
-System engineering for Military & Aerospace Avionics systems including hardware and software development and upgrades and life-cycle support for RF systems.
-Perform Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) testing on mission data changes for the Electronic Combat Systems Forces (ECSF).
-Support EW system integrated lab testing.
-Support the various development teams maintaining Electronic Warfare system support software tools with design review changes and Block Cycle testing and deficiency/verification testing.
-Provide system training and assistance as required to junior engineers in support of their assigned duties.
-Provide technical support to field personnel to help resolve system and support equipment repair, testing, and parts issues at the various Air Combat Command & Global Strike Command bases.

Required Qualifications

-U.S. Citizenship is required.
-Candidates must have a DoD security clearance or be able to obtain one immediately on acceptance.
-This position requires a Ph.D. degree in a technical subject (e.g., EE, ME, IE, AE, or an engineering degree in a related area from an ABET accredited School or College of Engineering) directly related and appropriate to the primary Division and Directorate functional area and 3 years of related experience; or a Masters degree in same and 6 year of related experience; or an undergraduate degree in same and 9 years related experience. 
-The candidate must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team or alone, and a strong work ethic.
-Extensive experience in Avionics systems, Electronic Warfare systems and supporting equipment including operations, development, testing, integration, and laboratory support.
-Education and experience with design, integration, and testing of RF hardware and digital signal processing.
-Experience in developing Military/Aerospace systems and requirement specification and development.
-Avionics systems support software tools with design review changes and Block Cycle testing and deficiency/verification testing.
-Avionics systems lab, flight line, and flight test operations.
-Avionics systems mission data development and validation.

Preferred Qualifications

-Extensive experience with the digital design using VHDL/Verilog with Xilinx or Altera EDA tools.
-Experience with embedded (soft or hard) microcontroller and/or microprocessor software design and development in C/C++ or assembly
-Experience with integration of complex multi-discipline systems
-Experience with EW, radar, and/or radar simulation
-Experience with Matlab/Octave in the development of process modeling is a plus.
-Knowledge in the development of applications for both a Windows based and Linux based OS is a plus.
-Proficiency with lab test equipment such as o-scopes, logic analyzers, signal analyzers, etc.
-Proficiency with computers and computer networking
