Mercer University College of Pharmacy is seeking candidates for a 12-month, non-tenure-track faculty position of clinical pharmacy specialist in internal medicine. The position is part of the Department of Pharmacy Practice, which has 25 faculty members and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. The department has affiliations with numerous area health systems and community pharmacy organizations in Georgia and elsewhere. This position builds upon the Department of Pharmacy Practice’s established academic and clinical programs.  The practice site is a 410-bed, acute-care facility that is recognized as one of the top specialty-referral hospitals in the Southeast and is a part of a large healthcare system in Atlanta, Georgia.


Responsibilities: Didactic and experiential education, participation in the development and expansion of clinical pharmacy services at the practice site, residency education, providing care in an active clinical practice, collaborative clinical research or other scholarly activity, and service to the department, College of Pharmacy, and community.


Successful candidates must possess the doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited institution. Additionally, candidates must have completed a post-graduate year-2 pharmacy residency in internal medicine or pharmacotherapy and/or fellowship training or possess equivalent experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia. An established record of teaching and scholarly accomplishments and board certification are desirable.
